Myrrh is the dried resin from the trunks of Commiphora Myrrh trees. Local collectors cut incisions into the trees to release the resin from the tree. As the resin seeps from the tree, it forms tears. The Myrrh is then left to dry, and then it is collected. They are then steam distilled to produce the precious essential oil.
Myrrh Essential Oil has a warm, bitter aroma. Historically, it was burnt at funerals and was a symbol of suffering. Even though some may not enjoy the scent, this oil blends well with others to have a more uplifting fragrance. The benefits of using this oil are powerful. Try adding it to your skin routine for a more youthful looking complexion. Use it topically to keep away from infections and to heal wounds faster.
